The colon cancer begins as a non-cancerous polyp. These often have no sumptuous but later on they are detected by screening. The symptoms depend on the basis of size and location of the cancer. The treatment also depends on the same. Frequently used anti-cancer used drugs 5-Fluoro uracil, methotrexate, capecitabine, etc. which inhibit the abnormal cell growth by preventing the replication of DNA in the tumors cells. In this review report we focus on recents trends for the treatment of colon cancer. 5-fluoro uracil is most commonly used drug for the treatment of colon cancer and act by inhibiting thymidylate synthatase enzyme.
