Herein, we report adsorption of Methylene blue onto Stishovite - TiO2 nanocomposite in a batch adsorber method. The experiment was conducted under various operating parameters such as initial dye concentration, contact time, adsorbent dose, pH and temperature respectively. The kinetics of the adsorption process was conducted by the Pseudo second order, the Elovich equation and the intraparticle diffusion equation. Kinetic parameters, rate constants, equilibrium adsorption capacities and correlation coefficients for each kinetic equation were calculated and demonstrated. The final result shows that the adsorption process under study could be best described by the pseudo second order equation. The experimental data fitted well with both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. Thermodynamic parameters reveals that the adsorption to be spontaneous and endothermic. A single stage batch adsorber has been designed for various volumes using the Langmuir isotherm.
